School School And More School

I know I haven't posted much lately; however, lately I've been pretty busy with school. My goal this week is to work on mothergrove's website. Spring Break is coming up soon, and I'm hoping to have some of the nice commercial roving I've purchased recently spun up. I also bought 4 ounces of Corn Silk I'm dying to attempt to spin. Well back to the school work.

More yarn I've spun up. The dusky rose is my dye job. Another split color from food colorings and the back yarn is a mystery yarn. Wool, Alpaca, dog hair, rabbit hair, mohair. No one knows completely for sure. The processor doesn't like to waste anything. Posted by Hello

Went and Got my Text Books

Oh My Oh My Oh My....
I spent over 500 US dollars on textbooks and software this semester. And we won't discuss weight LOL... I've one professor that I think enjoys finding the heaviest book out there, and another that really likes to hike up the price. Okay you too I'm just teasing you. I've got an easy semester when it comes to prof's this one. I only have 2 for all my classes. I'm normally shaking in my boots the first day of class since I'm surround by a whole slew of strangers, but not this semester. It's gonna be a definite different experience. Well Off to finish email and then watch the tele while I spin for the evening. For tomorrow after Fiber Hall. I begin to cram for classes.

There are really 2 skeins here. The greyish blue is named Morning Dove it's the remainder of some fiber I bought at West Branch this past summer. The other is Cherry Kool Aide died. and isn't actually that bright. It's more muted Posted by Hello

The White underneath is Ramboulet. and the brown is actually from a sheep Named Cpt Crunch. It spins up nicely Posted by Hello

I can't believe it looks blue If you saw this in real time it's actually a purple. My friend Peggy gave 4 oz of Merino top cut roving for Yule.,,,,, Thanks Ms Peggy Posted by Hello
